Jason Siegellak is the Principal of Washington Elementary School.  He brings nearly 20 years of experience in education. He was a high school English teacher for ten years and an Assistant Principal for five years in Chicago Public Schools in a Pre-K through 8 building.

Jason attended Illinois State University and Northeastern Illinois University.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in English Secondary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.

He believes in shared leadership and makes decisions in conjunction with the schools Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) and their work centers around the School Improvement Plan. 

Jason strongly believes that every child can learn and interact with all students.  He is readily available and has an open door policy with all the stakeholders at Washington Elementary School.   He enjoys seeing students’ grow academically and socially. He enjoys working with the students, staff and community at Washington Elementary School.  

Outside of school, Jason is an avid reader, life-long learner, enjoys playing chess, trivia, and socializing with friends.
